Well this week's challenge had been to make a Giraffe out of Cardboard. I had no clue what I was going to do when I dragged the old cardboard box up from the basement. With a box cutter and some conte crayons in my hands I just let go and started to carve out the giraffe. I had a blast just going at a project with out an idea of what I was doing. It felt like I was about 8 years old. I used the conte crayons because I always wanted to play with white chalk on a neutral background. I like it. Perhaps I will bring cardboard to my life drawing session next week. Next I need to make some puppets for the theater.
And here is my work from Wednesdays life drawing class. On PS cardboard
