I just finished working on a proposed set of horns for the Western Giant Eland Model. It took me awhile to figure out how to get the horns to look twisted, while at the same time, keeping my design simple. They measure 4'7" wide and weigh 40 pounds each. I am using a new lighter weight materials for this one. Even though my sculptures tend to be flat, I will like to embellish both sides and sometimes make them move. I don't know yet, how I am going to display this one. But as I work on it piece by piece the details should inform the next steps.
